You've encountered an incident, and you're covered by Eye Cyber Insurance. What's next and what actions should you take after reporting the incident?

1. Call us on +31 886444899 and have your policy number to hand.
2. One of our colleagues from the Eye Incident Response team will ask you for the details of the incident and check your contact details that are known to us. Indicate that you are insured. Eye Security will then assess the presented situation and advise you.
3. Do you have Eye Insurance? It is then up to you to make the final decision on whether to report the incident to the insurance company. If so, we will then contact the insurer's helpline on your behalf.
4. In the event of an incident, the helpline of the insurer will call in an Incident Response Manager to coordinate all necessary activities from that moment on and to form an Incident Response team.
5. In many cases, the Incident Response Manager organizes a triage or intake where, in addition to you and others from your organization, the Eye Security Incident Response Team and possibly also other experts will be present, such as a legal adviser, a PR specialist or fraud expert. During this meeting, it is determined who will carry out which work.
6. The team of experts immediately get to work to resolve the cyber incident, minimize the consequences and provide you with the right advice to return to “business-as-usual”.
7. You will also be given instructions on how to submit the costs you have incurred and the damage you have suffered in order to be reimbursed. During the incident, discuss the reimbursement of possible costs (still to be incurred), the involvement of third parties, alternatives and damage, and ask for confirmation. You often have an excess. Let your insurance advisor also assist you in this.
8. After the completion of the work, an evaluation will take place and a final report will be drawn up in which the findings are shared and any recommendations made.
